Skin Care: Harsh/Perfect/Mild Toners

Toner should be a staple part of skin care regimen. This is also a truth that it is myth that using toner will make your pores open more and some think that it will reduce the size of your pores. The fact is "the ideal skincare starts with toner".

I consider my skin to be Oily/Sensitive. Sometimes it reacts to everything I use on my face and sometimes it makes me feel that devil is hibernating at the moment. So amidst this complication I started with Ayur Toner, a herbal toner which is inexpensive and effective.

With Aloe Vera

My second toner was Vichy Normaderm Purifying Astringent Toner which I found a bit harsh on the skin. Its active ingredients are Glycolic acid + Salicylic acid. Vichy Thermal Spa Water. It is one of the most expensive toners I used and and never dared to use again. Yes, it was that harsh!! But my friend who has sensitive skin raves about it.

The third toner I tried was a toner by Aroma Magic - inexpensive (more expensive than Ayur Toner), mild and water-like.  An alcohol free toner!!

The 4th and the last toner I used is from Lotus Herbals Rosetone. I love this toner and I must say i can't do without it. rather I don't want to be without it. It works on my skin without making it feel harsh. Even after cleansing it removes the trashes of dirt and grim that i can totally see on the cotton swab which makes me satisfied within.

I have always myself these questions while I am using a toner(aware of the phase when you are sheepishly talking to yourself?) -

Which toner works the best?
Which toner is good for my skin - with alcohol or without alcohol?
Why do I like this toner more than the other one while I feel that this toner has alcohol?

Are you also like me? Probably not because I know more of us are really careful of what we are using on our faces. Ain't we?

P.S. - Check back as I may update this post with related/updated information.
